Longwharf Hotel, Boston

LOCATION:
Boston, MA

TIMEFRAME:
9 Weeks

SCOPE:
Public Space Renovation

The iconic Boston Marriott Longwharf Hotel is situated on the city’s beautiful waterfront. Baystate was hired to complete a nearly $2 million project that consisted of the renovation of various public spaces within the hotel. Additionally, two large columns, which help support the hotel’s foundation, were wrapped with decorative wood paneling to give the hotel’s lobby a more inviting ambiance. Baystate strategically engineered how these panels would be fabricated and installed to avoid potential construction issues. The hotel’s lobby, main function hall, and meeting space, known as The Palm Garden, were also renovated. To modernize these various areas, carpeting, wall finishes, and custom cove lighting were incorporated, in addition to the installation of a new glass entryway. With a very restricted deadline, Baystate was able to effectively project manage and avoid the interruption of any of the hotel’s major events that were scheduled toward the end of the construction schedule.
